Overview of the Design Process
At SPS we believe that collaborative course development is the best way to enable excellence in teaching and learning. It's an ideal partnership: faculty have mastery of the course content and valuable classroom experience to inform course development, while instructional designers (IDs) contribute their expertise in learning sciences and in the design of innovative learning environments optimized for achieving desired learning outcomes.
You'll want to find out who your designers are. An instructional designer and a media designer are assigned to most programs at SPS, but not to all. Please see your Academic Director for further information.
You'll also want to review the course development timeline you'll be working with, including key milestones and deadlines for deliverables.
