Educational Technologies

Technology for Teaching and Learning

Our educational technologists leverage research, best practices, and the expertise of instructional designers to design and implement solutions that meet student and faculty needs and aspirations. Our goal is to facilitate the meaningful use of technology for teaching and learning at SPS in our face-to-face, hybrid, and online learning environments.

Implementation Design

During the course development process, we work collaboratively with faculty, instructional designers, and other stakeholders to help identify and implement the most effective uses of technology in advancing the teaching goals and learning objectives of a given course or program.

Technology Pilots

At any given time, we have one or more pilot-stage technologies under evaluation in SPS courses. Pilots enable us to explore the potential of a given technology to enhance the learning experience. We evaluate impact, usability, training and support needs, accessibility, and more.

Evaluation

We are committed to an evidence-based approach to technology use in courses. In order to ensure this, we evaluate our implementations using surveys, focus groups, and user analytics to understand what's working and what's not--and how to effect improvements.
