Katherine Hykel

Katherine serves as the Faculty Affairs Manager for the School of Professional Studies. She first joined SPS in September 2016 as a Faculty Affairs Representative and has supported a number of programs across the school. In her current role as Faculty Affairs Manager, she is responsible for overseeing the Faculty Support team, which handles the hiring and onboarding for faculty in the school’s degree and non-degree programs.

Prior to her time at SPS, Katherine worked as a Human Resource Assistant for the YMCA of Central Texas. There she assisted with all aspects of the HR function including recruitment, hiring, onboarding, employee relations, benefits, and learning and development.

Katherine has a BBA in Human Resource Management from Baylor University and is currently a pursuing a master’s degree in Human Capital Management.
