Kayhan Sanyal

Kayhan Sanyal is an Instructional Designer at School of Professional Studies at Columbia University, where he serves as the primary ID for the Master of Science in Insurance Management and the Master of Science in Negotiation and Conflict Resolution programs.

He brings over 7 years of passion and experience in Learning Design and has worked in diverse roles across industries and sectors both for profit and non-profit. Kayhan specializes in curriculum development through blended approaches and is currently the advisory Head of Instruction Design for the PEP Network – A network of university medical schools that leverages medical research and ED cases to bring professional development opportunities to pediatrics doctors across the world. An engineer by background, Kayhan has led the software development life cycle and implementation of a cloud based learning management system that connected low income urban youth across major cities in India. Kayhan is passionate about teacher education and his education project with the Center for Sustainable Development, Earth Institute.

Kayhan holds a Master’s degree in Instructional Technology and Media from Teachers College, Columbia University. His research interests include building communities of practice, leveraging learning analytics for Instructional Design, and Educational Game Design.
