Karen McFadden
In April 2017, Karen McFadden joined Columbia University as the inaugural Director of Faculty Recruitment at the School of Professional Studies, leading the talent attraction and identification process for faculty roles across the school. During her tenure, she has developed and implemented a centralized work process as well as created an infrastructure of tools and technology to support hiring at scale. As a business partner to the Dean, Executive Committee of Associate Deans, and program Academic Directors, Karen and her team deliver the faculty talent required to support organic program growth, launch new academic programs and instructional modalities, and enable the school’s expansion into new markets.
Prior to working at Columbia, Karen was a co-founder and principal of Nicholson McFadden Group, a boutique executive search and recruiting firm, As a partner to Fortune 500 clients in the consumer goods and related industries, the firm built talent pipelines for executive-level roles in Sales, Marketing, Market Research & Insights, Finance, Engineering, Supply Chain Logistics, Manufacturing and Business Process Excellence. Prior to her 17 years running the firm, Karen worked at Procter & Gamble in field Sales Management.
