Sheila Song
Sheila Song is a senior instructional designer with SPS. Prior to joining SPS, Sheila worked for GlobalEd 2 for five years, providing design and development support to an interdisciplinary problem-based curriculum. She also served as the program evaluator for UConn’s WiSTEM Mentoring Program, where she conducted both process and outcome evaluations using surveys and focus group methodologies.
Sheila holds a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology with a concentration in Cognition, Instruction, and Learning Technology, along with a master’s degree in Educational Psychology and a graduate certificate in Program Evaluation. Her research focuses on motivation, problem-based learning, and technology-integrated teaching and learning.
Grounded in a constructivist perspective, Sheila approaches teaching and learning as active, collaborative, and contextually situated processes. These principles inform her instructional design practice and guide her work in creating meaningful and effective learning experiences.
