Caroline (Carrie) McAuliffe
Carrie McAuliffe is the Associate Director of Curriculum and Teaching for Pre-College Programs at Columbia University’s School of Professional Studies. She oversees the Non-STEM course portfolio, supporting high-quality classroom experiences through course development, syllabus design, and instructional support. Carrie works closely with the Team for Instructional & Pedagogical Support (TIPS) to provide curriculum development, one-on-one coaching, and in-classroom support for Pre-College instructors.
Prior to joining Academic Affairs, Carrie served on TIPS and brings over 15 years of experience across NYCDOE middle schools and higher education. Her work centers on mentoring novice teachers, bridging theory and practice, and supporting meaningful teaching and learning. Carrie is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in English Education at Teachers College, Columbia University, and holds and MA from Teachers College and a BA in English from St. Lawrence University.
