Jamie Douglas

Jamie Douglas, Senior Director of Faculty Recruitment and Planning, supports and oversees full-time and part-time faculty recruitment across M.S. degree programs and non-degree programs at the School of Professional Studies. In this role, Jamie serves as a senior member of the Faculty Affairs team, working closely with Program Directors and program teams to identify experts to teach specific courses by developing robust recruitment strategies. He is also the school’s subject matter expert on faculty search policy, process, procedures, and proven practices in advertising, sourcing, interviewing, and other topics related to faculty recruitment and retention strategy.  

Jamie comes to us from 2U, where he worked as the Northeast Regional Academic Manager of the bootcamp program. In that role, he was responsible for instructional team staffing and performance management, leveraging data analytics and insights to drive decision-making.  Before taking on that role, Jamie recruited faculty for several key 2U bootcamp programs and Kaplan Test Prep.  

Before entering recruitment, Jamie taught Kaplan SAT and LSAT prep courses for pre-college and adult learners.  He also taught English to Chinese university students as a Peace Corps Volunteer.

Jamie is a graduate of the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law.
