Rafael Senices

Rafael is a proud and dedicated Boston sports fan who thrives on friendly competition. A graduate of Boston College, he also spent two enriching summers at Columbia University, interning for the SPS High School Program. His experiences in higher education deeply influenced his career path, as he has always been passionate about the transformative power of academia.

Born and raised in Dorchester, MA, the youngest son of Dominican immigrant parents, education became Rafael's greatest vehicle for personal growth. As a preschooler, he was accepted into the METCO, Inc. program, which allowed him to attend school in an affluent suburban community. This opportunity dramatically shaped his childhood and adolescent years. While he faced numerous social challenges, Rafael credits much of his success to the METCO, Inc. program, which pushed him to excel even in the face of adversity.

Outside of his professional life, Rafael is committed to his graduate studies as a current SUMA student, set to graduate in May 2025. In his free time, he enjoys spending time outdoors, whether hiking or skating, and he’s passionate about playing a variety of sports. As an avid fan of the arts, Rafael can often be found drawing, reading manga, or watching his favorite anime series.
