Spotlight: First Wednesday Webinars

SPS Online Support launched its 1st Wednesday Webinar series in Fall 2017. Typically held on the first Wednesday of the month at 12pm ET, each webinar is designed to address faculty’s frequently asked questions and provides an opportunity for knowledge sharing on specific topics.

Tech Meets Pedagogy

SPS Online Support launched its 1st Wednesday Webinar series in Fall 2017. Typically held on the first Wednesday of the month at 12pm ET, each webinar is designed to address faculty’s frequently asked questions and provides an opportunity for knowledge sharing on specific topics.

To date, we have engaged with 55 attendees – a mix of faculty, associates, and administrative staff – in topics such as:

  • Grading & Feedback (focus on the Canvas SpeedGrader and strategies for timely and effective feedback)
  • That’s a Wrap (finalizing your course grades, student evaluations, and lessons learned)
  • Student Collaborations Online (all about Canvas Groups, team assignments, and effective online class breakouts)

  • Instructors Influencing Innovation (the story of Zoom at SPS and ideation platform)
